N&R delivers silviculture programs in partnership with BCTS operations in the Chilliwack, Squamish, and Queen Charlotte Islands Forest Districts. This includes: planning for all silviculture activities; contract preparation; seeds needs forecasting; sowing requests; cone collection; approximately 5,000 ha of silviculture surveys; implementation and checking of planting, brushing, and site prep activities; preparation of Pest Management Plans; First Nations consultations; layout and GPS; tabular and spatial database management; professional amendments; reporting to BC Ministry of Forests’ RESULTS (Reporting Silviculture Updates and Land Status Tracking System); research extension; etc.

N&R is implementing a Pest Management Plan (PMP) that it developed for the Fraser TSA. It is similar to the twelve PMPs already completed by N&R.
