Planning

Preparation of Forest Stewardship Plans, including stocking standards development. N&R has prepared a dozen Pest Management Plans and is very experienced with local First Nations consultations.


Planting Administration

N&R is experienced with large planting programs, and currently administers programs of >600,000 trees per year. Services include seeds needs analysis, cone collection, sowing requests, project management in Plant Wizard, stock trading, supervision, auditing, and reporting. Small crews are available for planting.


Surveys

N&R has 6 certified silviculture surveyors on staff and several associate surveyors. The survey program exceeds 6,000 ha and includes regeneration, free growing, multi-layer, root rot, green-up, pre-stand tending, etc. Palm pilots and Survey Wizard are used.


Vegetation Management

N&R administers aerial and ground-based herbicide projects, as well as manual vegetation management projects. This includes Pest Management Plan administration and preparation of detailed site assessments. Small crews are available for brushing.


Prescriptions

Site plans and amendments are completed by experienced professionals.

Data Management and Reporting

N&R undertakes spatial and tabular data management, and reporting to BC Ministry of Forests’ RESULTS (Reporting Silviculture Updates and Land Status Tracking System). We have considerable expertise in GENUS.

Experienced at helicopter and tree-climbing projects.
